patmi [ՊԱՏՄԻ]: Tell us a story + MI PAT [ՄԻ ՊԱՏ]: A wall
We bring together youth + artists from Armenia and abroad to breathe new life into Armenian villages through storytelling, art and education. Together, we talk with locals, mainly the elderly. We record, share and publish their life stories, which we then transform into engaging and colourful murals. We organise art + storytelling workshops and summer camps, teach languages and create opportunities for cultural exchange to bridge gaps and bring about social change.
Our aim is to create vibrant outdoor art galleries inspired by our cultural heritage for everyone to enjoy, locals and tourists alike, while promoting community development. #patmimurals
Մենք միավորում ենք Հայաստանի և արտասահմանի երիտասարդներին + արվեստագետներին կյանքի կոչելու հայկական գյուղերը: Միասին մենք զրուցում ենք տեղացիների հետ, հիմնականում` տարեցների: Մենք հավաքագրում, կիսում ու հրատարակում ենք նրանց պատմությունները: Օգտագործելով երևակայությունն ու նորարությունը` մենք վերափոխում ենք դրանք ուշագրավ տեսանելի բովանդակության և նկարում գունագեղ խոսուն պատկերներ: Համախմբելու և հասարակական փոփոխություն կատարելու նպատակով` մենք կազմակերպում ենք արվեստ + պատմասացության գործնական դասընթացներ և ամառային ճամբարներ, սովորեցնում լեզուներ և ստեղծում մշակութային փոխանակման հնարավորություններ:
Մեր նպատակն է ստեղծել թանգարան բաց երկնքի տակ` ներշնչված մեր մշակութային ժառանգությունից, որպեսզի բոլորը վայելեն` թե' տեղացիները, և թե' զբոսաշրջիկները, և նպաստել համայնքի և սոցիալ-տնտեսական զարգացմանը: #patmimurals
